The chickens finally got to move outside today! They were turning into stinky little monsters and were beginning to figure out out to escape from the box. I'll let them out into a larger pen with grass, etc. in a day or two when they figure out that the first pen is where they need to sleep.
The crippled guinea and the little black bantam from Gebo's (Blackie) stayed inside for now. Blackie is somewhat developmentally challenged as he is just now beginning to grow wing and body feathers, and the others got feathers about a month ago. He appears to be a Dominique (Dominicker) and looks like he is wearing little striped bloomers. I don't know if the guinea is ever going to get over his foot problem, but he's growing and doing fine for now--he just can't walk on one foot.
